Eminem, stage name of Marshall Bruce Mathers III, also known as Slim Shady (St. Joseph, October 17, 1972), is an American rapper, record producer, actor and U.S..
With more than 100 million albums sold, including 45 million in the United States alone [2], is the most successful artist in the rap and hip hop music as well as throughout the years 2000, so that in 2009 he had the appointment of "Artist of the Decade" that the artist who has sold more than all of 2000 to 2009 with 32.2 million records in just the U.S., surpassing the sales of the Beatles (30 million).
The Nobel laureate Séamus Heaney has praised Eminem for '"energy rhetoric" and the interest aroused by the lyrics of his songs [3], while Elton John has compared to the successes achieved, other famous musicians such as Mick Jagger and Jimi Hendrix [4]. Growing up in Detroit, was discovered in 1997 by the famous gangsta rapper and producer Dr. Dre. At launch it was the single My Name Is, published two years later. Early Successes
On June 4, 2000 he became involved in an altercation in Royal Oak, Michigan with the manager of his rival Douglas Dail Insane Clown Posse [26].
